England’s largest vineyard has produced a 2011 white wine exclusively for the Tesco Finest range marking the first time the retailer has selected an English wine to join the Finest line-up.

Denbies Wine Estate, based in Surrey, used Ortega, Reichensteiner and Chardonnay grapes to produce the wine, which has a dry, refreshing flavour, according to the vineyard.

“Being selected to join the Finest range represents a milestone for Denbies and English wines in general,” said general manager Christopher White.
