Tesco is following Safeway and Sainsbury's lead as it trials new deli counters at its Bar Hill superstore, north of Cambridge. The new look store boasts Continental-style touches such as Tesco's first ever self service olive bar. Other innovations include grab and go meats and cheeses and bespoke pizzas. Cheese is grouped by style rather than by country for the first time, with a large part of the display already wrapped and branded Grab and Go'. New packaging has also been introduced for other take away products. Tesco chilled food business planning manager Chris Rigby said: "Instore shopping needs to be an occasion and food counters are a great way to create some theatre." {{NEWS }}
