CWS has promoted Ged Carter to general manager, retail marketing. Carter, previously head of brand management, convenience stores, will be responsible for advertising and promotions and marketing development, which includes the Co-op Dividend loyalty scheme, and for developing future channels to market. In his old role Carter was responsible for developing the Co-op Welcome format, which is now being rolled out across CWS Retail's 500 plus c-stores. His appointment coincides with the latest wave of the Co-op's multimillion pound television advertising campaign for its 1,100 food stores which features characters created by Aardman Animations, the creator of Wallace and Gromit. {{PEOPLE MOVES }}
