Scots' new approach Four growers in the Clyde Valley  Scotland's Tomatoes Ltd  whose 10.5 acres of glass represent almost the entire industry are trialling Dutch hybrid vine tomatoes for the first time. The move comes as a result of a joint marketing venture between Capespan and English Village Salads, a Geest subsidiary. David Robertson, salad divisional manager of Capespan, is already testing fruit with retail customers which include Asda, Safeway, Sainsbury and Tesco, all of whom are showing support for local produce. {{FRESH PRODUCE }}
