The Werther's Original grandfather was finally pensioned off earlier this year but Bendicks stuck to using good old family values to promote its butter candy brand - with a modern twist. The £4m campaign this time centred on the close relationship between a father and son with the message that money can't buy you love. It shows a father and son travelling in a car together with the son listing the lavish presents bestowed upon his friend Jake by his father, including a laptop, an iPod and a Xbox 360. However, it transpires Jake's dad is never around to spend any time with him. As the son offers his dad a Werther's Original he realises he is glad that his dad is around to share his memories. Ahhh.
