Cosmo issue Cosmopolitan magazine celebrates its 30th anniversary this month with a bumper issue, a raft of trade activity and reader giveaways. The March anniversary issue, on sale on February 18, is a double issue that comes with a free double cover supplement of Cosmo Sex Confessions and the pick of 30 years of Naked Centrefolds. More than £65,000 worth of investment has been put behind trade activity which sees dumpbins in the top 151 retail outlets, plasma screen promotions across London and PoS material nationwide. The activity will culminate in a Cosmo Day on February 22 at Victoria railway station. , where a goody bag, containing chocolates, sparking wine and a 2 for 1 offer on Cosmopolitan cocktails will be given on purchase of the issue. The offer will be promoted by Cosmo's all male Dream Team on the concourse. Inside the magazine there are more than £130,000 worth of prizes on offer, from a BMW Z3 Roadster to a month long tour of Australia plus £5,000 spending money, to a £10,000 designer wardrobe. There are also a whole host of fashion and beauty give-aways within the issue, including £10,000 of gifts from Anne Summers. Jan Adcock, group publishing director, said: "For 30 years the magazine has been inspiring, entertaining and informing young women to be the best they can be and we've all been working incredibly hard to make sure our 30th is the best its ever been. "We've produced our biggest ever Spring issue and the special offers and promotions which support the magazine will make sure both our readers and customers are enjoying something unique and very special for our birthday." And the birthday celebrations continue elsewhere on the high street too. The magazine has teamed up with Estée Lauder and Debenhams in a lipstick promotion and with high street jeweller Goldsmiths and DeBeers for a competition to win a diamond necklace while Toni & Guy has created a new Cosmopolitan hairstyle in honour of the 30th birthday. {{CTN }}
