Visitors to CRS 2007 are guaranteed a first look at loads of new products.

The Country Choice stand is always one of the busiest at the show. This year the company is launching two pizza concepts - hot pizza for shoppers to eat straight away and a chilled version for them to take home and cook. The company is also cashing in on the growth in consumption of wholemeal and brown bread with new products including a small brown baguette and a round crusty roll.

Meanwhile, competitor Cuisine de France will be using the show to launch three new Fairtrade products. And the delicious-sounding Yummy Food Co will be exhibiting its one-stop shop snack offer.

In the soft drinks category, Pago is extending its juice range, while Unilever is adding a blackcurrant & raspberry flavour to its Adez line up.

Infuzions is launching Zipp, a low-calorie, fruit-based drink with added health benefits, while Snowshock has a new slush dispenser.

In the chilled category, Bernard Matthews will be showcasing its new look for 2007, which includes new packaging.

Chilled is a major growth area for convenience retailers, and for those interested in finding out more about the latest fridge equipment there will be plenty to choose from at CRS.

Coldco Refrigeration will be exhibiting its new low-energy consumption stainless steel cabinet; Manor Concepts is launching the latest in refrigerated acoustic housing to help eliminate noise problems; and Alpine Refrigeration is showing a new remote dairy cabinet.

There's also a lot going on in non-food. Inca Jewellery, for example, has a new 'two-for-£1' hair accessory stand, while Russimco is unveiling a range of pocket-money toys. Meanwhile, DVD supplier ChoicesUK is focusing on the 'big night in'.

Many exhibitors will be tempting retailers with special show deals and exclusive competitions.

As well as Nisa-Today's competition to win a Smart Car, The Grocer, in association with Procter & Gamble, is giving retailers the chance to win a Renault van.

The competition is part of P&G's Shelf Help initiative, which supports convenience and independent stores in building their business and increasing sales.

The compact vehicle is perfect for trips to the cash and carry and ideal for urgent stock pick-ups.

The van will be delivered to the winner taxed and registered. n
