An advertising watchdog has upheld a complaint against GlaxoSmithKline for claiming that its NiQuitin CQ Lozenges could triple' the chances of quitting smoking. The Advertising Standards Authority ruled that GSK could not substantiate the claim, which was made in a press advert and poster on the London Underground.

Adult soft drinks specialist Bottlegreen Drinks is to make its TV advertising debut next week to promote its sparkling Pressé ²ange. The ads break on Monday, initially across selected TV regions covering the south and south-west. A roll-out of the campaign is being planned for next year.

It claims prizes worth a total of $20m (£12.8m) are up for grabs across its pizza brands which include Chicago Town and Freschetta in the UK.

Westler Foods is launching a traditional English breakfast in a can, similar to that offered by rival HP. All day breakfast' contains burgers and hotdogs, omelette, bacon slices and baked beans. The 392g offering has an rsp of 89p and can be prepared either on a hob or in the microwave.
