British American Tobacco has sold its Belgian cigar business to the cigars division of Danish tobacco company Skandinavisk Tobakskompagni for an undisclosed sum.
The sale, which is expected to be completed later this year, includes a factory in Leuven, Belgium, as well as cigar brands such as Diplomatique, Schimmelpennick, Don Pablo and Mercator.
The business had gross assets of E31m (£21m) at 31 December, 2006, British American Tobacco said.
