Allan Burns, head of spirits supply for Diageo Scotland, is leaving the company on June 1.
Burns, who has worked at the group for 16 years, is taking early retirement. In addition to his role as head of spirits supply, where he was responsible for the supply of Scotch whiskies, gin, vodka and other spirits in Scotland, Burns was also global procurement director.
He joined the drinks giant in 1989 as production director for its packaging plant at Leven, Fife.
Since then he has held a number of key positions, including UK packaging director and joint executive director of Diageo Scotland.
Diageo said that before his departure Burns would be involved in the handover of his responsibilities to a successor, who would be announced in due course.
