The first hypermarket under the French ‘Carrefour’ banner is to open in Norway.
Grocery retailer Carrefour has already opened six MenyChampion supermarkets in Norway through a joint venture with Norges Gruppen last September.
Norges Gruppen is planning to open the first hypermarket under the Carrefour banner in Oslo, with a particular focus on fresh and organic Norwegian produce.
Elsewhere, Carrefour is also in talks with Korea’s second largest retailer Hyundai Department Store about a possible strategic alliance, according to media reports.
