Cereal Partners UK, the Nestlé-General Mills joint venture, has promoted Phil Ruebotham to MD, replacing Jeremy Preston who is retiring after 12 years at the top of the company.
Ruebotham will oversee the company's growth in the breakfast cereal market through brands such as Cheerios and Golden Grahams. He will also manage the company's continued expansion in the cereal bar market after its launch last month of cereal and milk bars based on the two brands.
Ruebotham, who will take up his appointment in the new year, has been operations director since Cereal Partners UK was established in 1990. He began his career in 1974 with RHM Foods and was appointed production director of RHM Cereals in 1989 when RHM acquired the Shredded Wheat Company from Nabisco. He has led the operations team through significant growth during the past 12 years, overseeing investment and organisation programmes.
