The confectionery fixture is to get another Fairtrade addition to its ranks.

CHOCaid hits shelves next month in a bar format, while three varieties of Belgian truffles (pictured) are scheduled to roll out in October.

Ireland-based CHOCaid claimed its point of difference from some other Fairtrade chocolate was that its products were made with both Fairtrade cocoa and sugar. First up are a 100g Swiss Organic Milk Chocolate Bar and an Extra Dark Organic Swiss Chocolate Bar, both of which will retail for around £1.69.

Director Alan Clayton said the company would be supplying both through SUMA Wholefoods in Halifax,Tree of Life in Stoke-on-Trent and Dorset-based HF Chocolates.
