Jill Eisberg has resigned as chief executive of The Dairy Council.
Eisberg was appointed in October 2002, having joined the council in April 2000.
During this time she generated a new strategic business plan for the organisation, restructured team operations to meet new funding arrangements and developed new ways to communicate the health benefits of dairy products.
The Council said that Eisberg would be moving back to the north east of England to be with her family.
It added that chairman Christian Fox would assume responsibility for the Council’s direction for the foreseeable future.
Fox said: “Jill has seen the Dairy Council through a great many changes.
“She leaves the organisation in a strong position to face the future.”
