Food and Drink World ’06 is the highlight of a packed agenda for the grocery industry this year
Tens of thousands of food trade professionals will be heading to Birmingham’s NEC in March for a major new event in the exhibition calendar.
Food and Drink World ’06, which takes place between March 19 and 22, brings together four long-established shows - the Convenience Retailing Show, Food & Drink Expo, Foodex Meatex and the International Forecourt & Fuel Equipment Show - to create an event covering every aspect of the grocery supply chain. One ticket will allow visitors to go into all four shows, which will fill nine interlinked halls at the NEC.
Food and Drink World and the exhibitions, which are expected to attract 40,000 people, are organised by William Reed Events, part of the group that publishes The Grocer.
Food & Drink Expo will feature more than 800 UK, regional, international and specialty exhibitors, with a strong international presence from countries as diverse as Japan, Poland, US and Thailand. The show will give visitors an opportunity to taste new products, identify innovative new suppliers and find out more about some of the big issues affecting the industry.
The show is packed with attractions such as Bar Talk, the Wine & Cheese Theatre and winners of the exciting Ideas to Dine For! competition.
Taking place alongside Expo will be the Convenience Retailing Show, which is back with a bang with more than 200 leading suppliers.
And over at Foodex Meatex, visitors will be able to find exhibitors covering every aspect of food production, processing and packaging.
Creating links across these shows will be special features such as PACK-IT and Packaging Village, Food & Drink Tomorrow, Sandwich & Snack Solutions, Food2Go, Ingredients Solutions and the Food Safety Forum. January
