Hi-tech e-fulfilment service M-box has teamed up with leading courier firm Addison Lee to offer a two hour express delivery service to fulfil multichannel orders within the M25. Using a central computer system called the hub, M-box coordinates the delivery of goods purchased through a variety of different channels to local pick up points or direct to customers' homes. The new high speed service will initially run from 7am until 10pm, utilising Addison's network of 550 vehicles, which are being customised to feature the m-box logo. M-box ceo Geoff Webb said: "We have specifically elected to work with companies that have established infrastructures and who really understand their specialist service, and Addison Lee is no exception." About 1,000 convenience stores, which include Spar, Londis, Costcutter and a variety of regional chains, have now been chosen to act as pick-up points for the first wave of deliveries through the m-box system. Retailers are busy installing the equipment required to handle goods passing through their stores. {{NEWS }}
