Irish supermarket Superquinn has appointed Brian Mooney and Bruce Langlands to the new roles of regional managers.
Mooney is a former Dunnes buyer and Langlands a former senior executive for M&S’s Irish food operation.
Simon Burke, chief executive, said: “Regional managers are a crucial part of a retail business because they act as a bridge between head office and stores, implementing decisions but also giving feedback on marketing activity or new policies.
“They will be driving sales while raising retail standards, improving service and managing costs,” he added.
Superquinn has also announced the appointment of former Lidl buyer Ciara McClafferty to the new role of buying development manager.
