Future Publishing is launching a new PC games magazine called 101 PC Games. The bi-monthly title will be based around a DVD-ROM with 101 playable games demos that will come with every issue. It goes on sale from September 20, and retails at £5.99. Distribution is by Seymour.

Kids' stuff
Crayola Colour Fun, a new pre-school magazine, launches on August 21 from Toontastic Publishing. The title is aimed at children aged three to six years, and contains puzzles and games as well as stories and fun activities such as painting and drawing. Every issue of Crayola Colour Fun, which retails at £1.50, will carry a covermounted gift.
n Shooting star
Travel Photography, a new bi-monthly magazine aimed at the adventurous amateur photographer, goes on sale August 22 with a cover price of £3.25. Publisher GMC says the title aims to inspire and inform readers with first-hand reports and advice by experienced photographers.

Mac attack
Macworld Plus, a new quarterly title from IDG Publishing aimed at Apple Mac users, hits shelves the same day, price £5.99. Each issue will focus on a different Mac system.

On the wild side
The September issue of BBC Wildlife, on sale August 20, comes with a free 32-page 21st Century Power supplement, looking at green energy sources and how to be environmentally friendly at home and in the car. The issue includes a 13 page feature on the Earth Summit in Johannesburg this month.

New strategy
The Magazine Month Promotions Club is breaking from its traditional tack of promoting a different sector each month. From November it will be opening out to any title whose strategy is to promote within key independents.
