A management reshuffle has been carried out to enable Harris International Marketing to expand its operations. General manager Tom Fender, who joined HIM in 1997 and has been responsible for managing the company's work on the Convenience Tracking Programme, has become managing director. Mike Greene, who was director of implementation, has stepped up to the post of chief executive. The founder of the company Jef Harris will remain chairman but will concentrate on developing the international side of the business. Fender has taken on responsibility for the recently launched SOLTrack programme, which tracks shopper behaviour at specialist off licences and is supported by a number of brewers and tobacco companies. HIM will also implement a programme to take the Convenience Tracking Programme a stage further and demonstrate how the companies involved can use the information to improve their performance. Greene said: "This aims to turn research into profits by examining ways of improving efficiency, marketing and category management." Aberness Foods is the first company to sign up. Internationally, Harris hopes to launch the CTP model in Denmark, Brazil, France, Spain and Germany. He is also carrying out a pilot study in the US. {{PEOPLE MOVES }}
