Do you think you've got what it takes to head the Association of Convenience Stores? The ACS, the trade association that represents more than 32,500 c-stores across the UK, is advertising in The Grocer (p79) for a replacement for outgoing CEO David Rae, who retires later this year. In the role you'll be the public face of the ACS, in regular contact with government bodies, TV, radio, national and trade press. You'll also be heavily involved in overall control and strategy, with responsibility for developing and implementing a programme of services for retail and supplier members. You'll also contribute to the formulation and implementation of business policy.

To succeed you'll need a passion for the convenience store sector, together with stature and finely honed ambassadorial and communication skills.
