The makers of portable toilet Shit Box could take a lesson in the more subtle art of product branding.

"As the name implies, Shit Box is a lightweight portable cardboard toilet, made specifically for outdoor use," according to the press release that accompanied said item when it was delivered to our offices this week. "The box pops up from its convenient flat pack to a rigid reusable box, you pop in a degradable poo bag, do your business and dispose."

This is no spoof. Consumers can purchase the device online for £15.67 and it even comes with 10 degradable bags and a packet of toilet tissue. Ten extra bags can be purchased for an extra £1.50.

At least you can't accuse the company of not having a sense of humour. Shit Box doubles as a handy stool, it says, and the company even offers two versions, one of which is of the bog standard variety. What is slightly worrying is that the company does have a return policy, but quite how that works I haven't bothered to look into yet.
