The Cadbury brand also makes further inroads into the ambient dessert sector next week with the launch of Cadbury Smart Pots. Produced and marketed by Askeys under licence from Cadbury, these chocolate desserts come in three 135g single pot flavours: Chocolate, Chocolate Light and Mint (rsp: 39p) and a multipack of four 62.5g pots in Chocolate, Chocolate Light and Vanilla. Askeys' research suggested that consumers were most likely to be interested in the desserts because they don't need refrigeration. The launch will be supported by instore promotional activity and PR with the theme: "Smart enough to eat anywhere". Askeys, UK market leader in ice cream complements such as cones and wafers, diversified into instant desserts three years ago. It is a major supplier of own label products. {{MARKETING - P&P }}
