Long life orange juice is just as healthy and nutritional as its freshly squeezed counterpart.

According to a Spanish study which compared the levels of antioxidants in fresh orange juice with pasteurised supermarket juices, it has the same antioxidant and nutritional level.

The team of researchers tested pasteurised, partially pasteurised and unpasteurised drinks made with frozen and concentrated orange juice.

Dr Pilar Cano, a food scientist at the Superior Council for Scientific Research, Madrid, told the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture: “This study demonstrates that all juices have the same nutritional and health related characteristics.”
