Freshway Foods' logistics director Maurice Wright has retired after clocking up nearly 60 years with the Wolverhampton-based sandwiches, fillings and seafood supplier.
When the company was founded in 1945 by his uncle, Frank Wright, Maurice joined as a sales manager. He was promoted to sales director and later became logistics director.
He said: "I have seen the business grow dramatically and I feel privileged to have been associated with Freshway through this exciting and challenging period."
Freshway director Graham Wright added: "Over the years, Maurice has been an outstandingly loyal and conscientious colleague.
"All his colleagues wish him the best for a happy retirement and we look forward to retaining Maurice's experience and hands-on approach in a consultative role."
