Chief operating officer Alan McClay is to head up CIES - the food business forum that is a global business advice and networking organisation for the food sector.
McClay replaces Richard Fedigan, president and chief executive officer, who has left the organisation and will not be replaced.
Outgoing chairman Pierre-Olivier Beckers said: “Richard has made a significant contribution to the growth and development of CIES during his 15 years with the organisation.”
Roger Corbett, CEO of Woolworths, Australia, and chairman of CIES’ governance committee, said: “Alan has been with CIES since 1986 and is well-placed to continue with our new strategic objectives.”
CIES serves CEOs and senior management of 175 retailer and 175 supplier members in more than 150 countries.
