BBC Magazines' biggest pre-school launch ever takes place next month with the publication of Fimbles magazine on November 14. The new title for two to four-year-olds is based around the TV series and will be supported by instore activity at launch, including special display units and competitions with retailers. The 24 page magazine has a cover price of £1.40 and every issue will be covermounted, starting with a tambourine on Issue 1. Distribution is by Frontline.

n Men only slimming
The Nov/Dec issue of Slimming World magazine, on sale October 31, will carry a free 'nude' calendar of 13 male slimmers to promote the club's new initiative to set up men-only slimming classes. An increase in pagination follows soon and in 2003 publication will rise from six to seven issues a year.

n Only PlayStation2
PlayStation Max magazine relaunches next month with a new design, content and name. Max magazine will no longer cover the original PlayStation but focus only on PlayStation2. There will be a covermounted tips book free with each issue. The 116 page title goes on sale on November 22 in time for the Christmas rush.

n Comic Gareth
The Gareth Gates Official Comic Strip Magazine, the second of three official Gareth Gates one-shots from BBC Magazines, goes on sale on November 5. The magazine, which is priced £2.99, contains a full-length comic strip story about the singer and comes with a free keyring, stickers and postcard set. Distribution is by Frontline.

n Premium titles
Future Publishing is launching two premium-priced titles in time for Christmas. Tablet PC magazine goes on sale on November 14 with a cover price of £5.99, followed by 3D Collection on November 21 with a cover price of £7.99. Distribution is by Seymour.
