The National BBQ Association, which runs National BBQ Week and the National BBQ 2007 campaign, aims to make barbecuing bigger than ever. This summer's campaign will include promotional and sampling activities and will be supported by major retailers and its BarbiPartners.

This year's campaign theme is Gastro Alfresco, which aims to make barbecuing chic and sophisticated.

The National BBQ Association has linked up with The Grocer to give away five Better Barbi Boxes containing products or vouchers from BarbiPartners including: Birds Eye, the official National BBQ 2007 burger; Brasilian Brahma, official beer; luxury ice cream Carte D'Or, official dessert; Discovery, official ethnic food; Kumula, official wine; McCoy's Specials, official snack; and French cheese Président, official dairy BarbiPartner.
