Flor Healy has replaced Michael Griffin as chief executive of Kerry Foods, Kerry Group’s consumer foods division.
Healy is currently general manager of Kerry Foods Ireland, a post he assumed in 1997, and, like Griffin, is an executive director of Kerry Group.
Griffin has retired from both roles. He joined Kerry Group in 1973 and was appointed general manager of Kerry Foods, the company’s second largest manufacturing division after ingredients, in 1986.
He was responsible for leading the group’s thrust into the UK market in the late 1980s. He joined the Kerry Group board as an executive director in 1990 and became chief executive of Kerry Foods, which represents a third of the group’s £3.7bn global sales, in 1993.
The move follows the retirement of Denis Brosnan as chairman and director of Kerry Group last August. He was succeeded by vice-chairman Denis Buckley.
