Here, the fledgling organic supermarket chain, has officially opened its first store on London's Kings Road. And it is pressing ahead with plans to open in Kingston, Islington, Hampstead and St John's Wood. Michelle Jensen, who co-founded Here with partner Troy Smith, said: "Here's first week's trading has been brisk, with customers making repeat visits." Jensen, pictured with Smith, said Here's offer was still being perfected. She added: "The marketing of organics is now past the hippy era. Our format is very modern. We are a little bare in terms of style at the moment, and we are finetuning layout." Smith said: "We are totally committed to introducing healthier food at digestible prices." The rollout of the chain is being backed by "green" financier Zac Goldsmith, who officially opened the first store. Goldsmith said: "While I was keen to get involved and to invest in organic projects, I felt too many of them were being initiated by businesspeople, whose interest in organics didn't convince me." Among the affordable organics stocked by Here are honey and coffee from a Goldsmith family farm. {{NEWS }}
