Paul Walsh, CEO of Diageo, and Ann Fudge, former chairman and CEO of Young & Rubicam Brands, are set to join Unilever's board as non-executive directors, alongside Louise Fresco, professor of international development and sustainability at the University of Amsterdam.

Asda has expanded the remit of category director for impulse grocery Barry Williams to cover beer, wines and spirits, while David Armstrong has joined the BWS team as buying manager for beer.

Paul Temple has stepped down as vice president of the National Farmers' Union due to "personal and business circumstances". Last month director general Richard Macdonald also said he would stand down.

Terry Haggerty is to retire from Chelmsford Star Co-operative Society after 11 years as president. Haggerty, who has been a director of the society for 21 years, will stand down in April.

Joe O'Toole is leaving Moy Park after 35 years "to develop new interests". He joined the business in 1974, holding several roles including sales and marketing director and business unit director for European convenience foods.

Forecourt operator Murco Petroleum has named Gary Pearce network manager for shops. He was national forecourt sales manager for Costcutter, and replaces Tony Walker who assumes the new role of general manager for non-fuel.

Philip Cox, who is set to become a Morrisons non-exec in April, will stand down as a non-executive director at logistics giant Wincanton at its July agm.
