Woolworths non-executive director Roger Jones has died, aged 71. Jones, who spent the majority of his career at Woolworths and was MD from 1995 until his retirement in 1998, had been "an integral part" of the company for many years, said Woolworths. 

Dairy giant Arla Foods has appointed Samantha Glassford as brand manager of Lactofree. She joins from retail marketing agency The Bezier Group, where she managed accounts such as Marks & Spencer Finance, Cadbury, GSK and Unilever.

Peter Burdon has resigned as CEO of troubled discounter Instore. Aziz Tayub, founder of wholesaler Crown Crest, which has a 56.89% stake in the company, is to replace him.

Cadbury has appointed Colin Day as non-executive director. Day is also a non-executive director of WPP Group and previously held the position of chief financial officer at Reckitt Benckiser.

Waitrose has appointed Sarah Fuller to the newly created position of head of marketing. Fuller, currently director of marketing and insight for Airmiles, will start her new role in January.

Coca-Cola Enterprises has brought in Dave McNulty, formerly Kraft Foods' director of alternate channels, to head up its UK energy drinks division. McNulty, whose new title is head of energy, replaces Simon Hawkins, who is now regional director of South East sales.

Former Nisa-Today's trading director Steve Collins has joined data analysts SalesOut as commercial director. He hopes to build the company's relationships with wholesale routes to market.

Drinks logistics company Tradeteam has promoted Chris Roberts to primary director. He previously held the position of general manager at the company's Knowsley depot.

Chicken producer 2 Sisters Food Group has appointed Marie Faichney as group HR director, replacing John Docherty.

Clive Moxham has joined Leathams, which owns the Merchant Gourmet, Charcuti and SunBlush brands, as its new director for the retail and ingredients division.
