John Lindop, group finance director for Crans­wick, will retire at the end of May after 17 years with the business. He is to be replaced by Mark Bottomley, who moves up from the role of group financial controller.

Jason Stoneham, an interim sales controller at Ryvita, has left the company to set up an interim recruitment consultancy. Stoneham managed the Ireland, UK, Channel Islands and Tesco accounts while at Ryvita and offered strategic advice on the merger between Jordans and Ryvita.

Henderson Group has appointed Healey Martin as fresh food development manager, William Bill as regional sales manager, Paul Deans as regional sales manager for supermarkets, Heidi Vaughan as business development manager and Kat Murray as PR and communications manager.

Sarah Crow, who was senior brand manager at Kallo for eight years, has joined Balance Foods as marketing manager.

Tissue manufacturer LPC Group has named Peter Spencer as its new CEO. He was previously group president of Teleflex Auto­motive, MD of Scotsman Beverage Systems and CEO of electro-mechanical manufacturer Howard Ander­son Group. He also worked for Ford Motor Company for eight years.

Marian Byrne and Mel O'Rourke have been reappointed to the board of Bord Bia for a further three years. Padraig Walshe, president of the Irish Farmers' Association, has also been reappointed.

Janet Thorogood, a teacher and a farmer's wife, has been named the new president of the Women's Food & Farming Union. She is planning to modernise the organisation.
