Sandwich producer Gibson’s has expanded into a second manufacturing site at Devizes in Wiltshire.
It has bought the 37,000 sq ft building from chilled foods supplier Uniq, which was consolidating its sites.
Gibson’s chairman Edward Gibson said the purchase was part of the company’s continued expansion into the chilled food sector and the site was needed to allow further development.
“This acquisition will allow us to expand the business and provide us with the opportunity to be more aggressive in the market, develop new product
ranges and secure business from new customers throughout the UK. We plan to be producing at the Devizes factory by January.”
Gibson’s supplies all WeightWatchers sandwiches, wraps, rolls and deli fillers, as well as own label ranges.
