Nina Shores has been appointed to head the UK expansion of US organic and natural food company Whole Foods Market.

Shores has been property director at clothing chain Bank Fashion for two years and will take up the post of vice-president of real estate at Whole Foods in January.

Whole Foods currently has more than 190 stores in the US and Canada and opened its first UK store in Kensington, London, in June.

It is now looking to expand and is rumoured to be searching for a further 30 sites throughout London and the UK. It is considering sites in major cities such as Bristol, Edinburgh and

Manchester.
