Food processor Sun Valley has signed up with Brazilian food manufacturer Sadia to form a new company called Concordia Foods Limited. Concordia Foods will distribute primary and added value cuts of raw poultry to retail, food service and food manufacturing businesses, from a base in Worcester. Hugh Guill, md of Sun Valley Foods, said the new company, which will be operational from July 1, arises from an 18-month working relationship with Sadia. He said: "Concordia is an exciting development for both companies in the UK and Ireland." For Sun Valley it opens up a totally new area of operation, complementing our existing import and distribution activities in the UK and Europe in the cooked poultry area." The joint venture will operate independently of Sun Valley Foods and Sadia's existing businesses. {{NEWS }}
