Key Lekkerland wholesaler T&A Symonds has announced senior appointments to its sales and buying teams.

Hugh Graham has taken the newly-created post of sales controller, with overall responsibility for sales.

He was previously sales controller at bottled ale and soft drinks wholesaler Hall & Woodhouse, where he was responsible for impulse and foodservice channels. Before that he worked for Coca-Cola Enterprises as sales controller.

Thain Coventry joins as senior buyer with overall responsibility for buying from Balfour, where he was buying and marketing controller. Before that he held buying and marketing roles at One-Stop, Spar and Palmer & Harvey McLane.

Coventry replaces Rupert Morris, who has become head of purchasing at Roadchef.

T&A Symonds chief executive Jeremy Symonds said the new staff would strengthen the business.

The family sold T&A Symonds to BWG in 1999 and acquired it back last year.
