Bleedin' good idea A simple, innovative way to protect consumers from grievous bodily harm when they open food packages has been developed by Wrapid Packaging Systems. The company has responded to demands for easy open packs with its Peelwrap system. This comprises a tab of film covering perforations in the original packaging that consumers can simply pull, eliminating the need to use scissors or knives to open the product. It is currently used on pizza in Iceland stores but is being rolled out nationally.
