Olive oil worth £50,000 has been stolen from a Filippo Berio container on its way to its warehouse in Kent.
The container, filled with 500ml bottles of Gusto Fruttato Extra Virgin Olive Oil, arrived empty at the Lenham depot. It is unclear if the truck was emptied in the UK or on its journey from Italy.
Filippo Berio has written to retailers asking them to keep an eye out. The details of the stolen olive oil products were: case bar code (ITF) 0800 2210 116382, unit bar code (EAN) 800 2210 116566, best before date 31.05.13, lot code LE293F.
