A new title based on the children's television show Dream Street launches on July 17 from Toontastic Publishing and is aimed at children from three to six years old. James Hill, managing editor at Toontastic, said the popularity of the television show had led to a "huge expansion" of the Dream Street brand into other product categories including toys, videos, and clothing this year. "Currently in its fourth season, Dream Street is shown on prime time CITV during the week," said Hill. The magazine will include characters from the show, but the publisher hopes its educational content will also appeal to parents. "The magazine features the truck Magic Time Buddy and his vehicle friends in a vibrant mix of stories, activities and things-to-make and do," said Hill. "Predominantly a parental purchase, the magazine examines themes such as sharing, friendship and honesty all in a magical land where dreams come true...'. Parents will appreciate the educational fun and children will delight in the friendly characters and magical setting." Another parent-friendly feature will be road safety messages in line with the brand's Get Street Wise campaign. Each issue of Dream Street will carry a covermounted gift, the first issue comes with free play clay for every reader. Dream Street, which will be published every four weeks, should be displayed in the pre-school sector. It has a cover price of £1.35 and is distributed by Seymour. {{CTN }}
