Brand Innovations aims to grow its presence in the low fat ice cream market by introducing Tropicana Tropics next month in multiples and independents.
The move builds on the launch of Tropicana hand-held ice lollies last year and represents a further extension of the Tropicana juice brand.
The new hand-held lollies are billed as virtually fat-free and will appear in a 90ml impulse format (rsp: 90p) and packs of three (rsp: £1.99). They are coated in pineapple sorbet, with an orange and lemon sorbet split centre.
“We already have listings in all the major multiples bar one, which we are currently waiting for confirmation from,” said national account manager Anne Bagnall.
She said the company saw significant future potential in the low-fat refreshment sector.
