Ice Age boost for Tricerapops Simon Mowbray Importer Trustin Unimerchants is warming up for a push on its Tricerapops ice lolly range after signing a marketing agreement with Twentieth Century Fox. The deal is aimed at raising the profile of both the home-freeze iced treats and children's animated movie Ice Age. An on-pack promotion will back the film's March launch, offering consumers prizes including a family holiday to Iceland. Trustin is also in the final phase of discussions with a national tabloid newspaper to give away free Tricerapops to potentially millions of readers. Marketing director Martin Wathes said Trustin had set itself a £250,000 marketing budget for the Ice Age tie-up which will include press ads. But he insisted the brand, manufactured in Latvia by Rigas, would also benefit from the £3m which Twentieth Century Fox plans to spend promoting the film in Britain. It is hoped the deal could help the brand, which launched last spring, grow its market from its current level of £8.5m to more than £10 million by the end of the year. {{P&P }}
