Murphy joins the company from First Quench. Before that she was head of marketing for TM Retail. She will work with the marketing and buying teams to develop appropriate ranges for the new-look stores.
Wetz previously worked in the retail division of the group, specialising in the development and ranging of a fine wine offering. Griffiths was regional operations and business development manager. One other external appointment will be made later this year.
The announcement of the brand management team follows the revelation that Unwins will branch out into the convenience sector, converting 300 of its 400 stores into food and wine shops (The Grocer, July 27, p8).
