WD-40 said it planned to increase 1001’s market share with double-digit sales growth over the next two years through the launch of new products.
According to WD-40, the 1001 brand has 65% brand awareness and is the UK’s leading carpet care brand with 40% market share. The range includes liquid carpet shampoo, aerosol carpet cleaning mousse and trigger spot stain remover.
“The 1001 brand will enable us to use our technical expertise to develop new home cleaning products,” said WD-40 marketing director Simon Daw.
“We already have two new products ready to be launched under the 1001 brand name.”
