Ye Olde Oak has sneaked its much awaited rival to Peperami on to the market, rolling it out on limited distribution.
The Grocer last year reported the manufacturer's plans to introduce Dot Breaks mini salamis in a foil pouch into the British market after our reporters spotted the newcomer on show at the giant Anuga food industry exhibition in Cologne in October.
Now packs of 15 mini spicy Dot Breaks have been winging their way to a number of outlets including motorway services. Other varieties in the range are mustard and original.
A spokeswoman for the company confirmed the packs were beginning to roll out to British stores.
"They are only on limited distribution at the moment," she added.
