Unilever Bestfoods has sold Kent based sauces and dressings business Cremanaze to entrepreneur Martyn Rose as it continues to divest non core operations to focus on key brands. Cremanaze operates from a factory in Erith, Kent, supplying own label sauces, dressings and condiments to the wholesale and catering trade. Its annual turnover is £7m. All 30 staff will be kept on. Rose said he plans to invest in the business, which has been "consistently profitable", installing new equipment and increasing staff numbers by 50% by the summer. He is best known for his work at own label soft drinks manufacturer Macaw, but also has interests in shoe care and publishing. {{NEWS }}
