Unilever Bestfoods has agreed to sell its Ambrosia and Brown & Polson businesses to Premier Foods for an undisclosed sum.
Ambrosia, known for its ready-to-use custard and creamed rice puddings and cornflour maker Brown & Polson, with combined annual sales of £60m, were put up for sale in July.
Premier Foods owns brands such as Loyd Grossman, Crosse & Blackwell and Typhoo tea.
