Vimto is showing it still has a sense of humour after Purple Ronnie’s departure.
Its Shlurple the Purple TV campaign kicks off on May 1 with a 20-second ad which shows the effect the drink has on a male consumer. After just a couple of sips, the man goes into tongue-twisting facial contortions over the fruity flavour. The £4m national campaign benefits from additional upweighted spend in the Granada, Yorkshire, Tyne Tees and Central regions.
A consumer magazine campaign is planned and a cinema launch to coincide with the kids’ summer holidays.
