Ambrosia

A new TV campaign from Ambrosia is set to make its debut today, as part of a £3.2m spend by the Premier Foods dessert brand.

The first 30-second slot – called A Taste of Happy – will air this evening (5 May), focusing on Ambrosia Deluxe, and showing a family ‘unleashing the happy’ by opening a pot of the premium ambient custard, which launched in February. The soundtrack is a cover by the Hackney Colliery Band of KC and the Sunshine Band’s 1983 hit Give it Up.

“Ambrosia is a much-loved brand, and has long been a special treat that brightens people’s days,” said Grace Liljemark, brand director, desserts & baking at Premier Foods. The Taste of Happy campaign is based on the idea that when you have a little taste of something you love, you feel happier.”

Liljemark said the Ambrosia was “seeing very encouraging initial results” for Deluxe, and the new commercial would “bring this new addition to our range front and centre of people’s minds, encouraging them to try its luxurious, velvety, creamy taste.”

A second ad will appear on small screens later in the year to promote both Deluxe and the new Frozen Custard ice cream, said the brand.
