Pukka Herbs is making an early move into the nascent turmeric trend with the soft launch of Turmeric Gold tea.
The winner of the Best New Organic Drink title at the 2016 Natural & Organic Awards last month, the NPD (rsp: £2.39/20 bags) is hailed by Pukka as the first turmeric tea made in the UK.
The brand is currently seeking grocery listings for its latest tea variant. Ingredients include lemon and cardamom along with the focal spice, which is a ‘rising star’ in food according to a recent Google Trends report for the US.
“We are delighted to unveil the first UK-made turmeric tea,” said Pukka co-founder Sebastian Pole. “We want it to give people the feeling of vibrancy, invigorating the whole body. It is now easier than ever to get your everyday consumption of this incredible spice.”
