Steve’s Leaves has expanded its salad bowl offering with the launch of a Luscious Leafy Tomato Trio exclusively into Waitrose.
The bowl, which went on sale on 20 May, serves one or two people and contains 100 calories per serving.
It is based on the core ingredients of baby watercress, baby chard, red baby cos, orange pepper, cucumber and Piccolo cherry tomatoes (rsp: £2.39/130g), washed in spring water.
“The salad bowl market is worth £168.8m and has seen growth of 4.3% year on year,” said brand manager Emily Dow [IRI Infoscan 52 w/e 25 April 2015], adding the new product offered both “convenience and flavour”.
